Digital Photography
Advanced Computer Art Overview One goal of this course is for students to look at the history of photography and photographic genres in relation to their own production of digital images. Adobe PhotoShop, Adobe Illustrator as well as web 2.0 tools (online applications) will be used. Visual composition will be explored through working with the elements and principles of art and design. Students will present and reflect upon their images via digital portfolios and class critiques. The format of this class is a blended learning environment. While online learning platforms and tools may vary in the way they look, feel and the student interface, the goal is always the same - to supplement, enhance and support student learning! This class is always evolving along with digital media advances and changes. This curriculum map is, to a fair extent, presented chronologically, however, the nature of all topics and essential questions are recursive and over-arching. Once presented, they become ongoing and cycle back for subsequent assignments (- which are listed under assessment and learner expectations). |
